12 Halloween Minute to Win It Games (Free Printable Rules + Scorecard)
12 Halloween Minute to Win It Games: 60-Second Challenges Anyone Can Play
Minute-to-win-it games are my favorite party format, full stop. Every challenge takes 60 seconds, the supplies are stuff you mostly own already, and the whole room ends up screaming with laughter at someone trying to stack candy corn with shaking hands. This page is your free printable: 12 Halloween minute-to-win-it challenges with complete supply lists, rules, and a scorecard you can copy onto paper. Set a phone timer and go.

How Minute to Win It Works
- Each player (or team) gets 60 seconds per challenge.
- Complete the challenge = points. Fail = zero. No partial credit — that’s what makes it funny.
- Run all 12, tally points on the scorecard below, and crown a winner. Total runtime: about 30–40 minutes with transitions.
- One person should be the timer/host who doesn’t play — trust me, you’ll want a referee.
Copy-this scorecard
Write this on paper or a whiteboard. 3 points for a win, 1 point for trying (participation), 0 for a no-show.

Challenge 1: Candy Corn Stack
Supplies: bags of candy corn, a flat table.
How to play: Stack candy corn pieces on top of each other, one at a time, pointy-end up. Whoever has the tallest standing stack when the timer ends wins. This is shockingly hard — most adults manage 5 or 6.
Win condition: tallest stack still standing at 60 seconds.
Challenge 2: Mummy Wrap Race
Supplies: 2 rolls of toilet paper or crepe paper per team.
How to play: Pairs — one wrapper, one mummy. Wrap your partner head to toe (leave eyes and mouth clear, obviously) before time runs out.
Win condition: most complete wrap at 60 seconds, judged by the room’s applause.
Challenge 3: Spider Straw Race
Supplies: plastic spiders (the cheap bagged kind), drinking straws, a long table.
How to play: Place spiders at the start line. Players blow through straws to push their spider across the finish line — no hands, no touching the table to tilt it.
Win condition: first spider across the line, or farthest at 60 seconds.
Challenge 4: Cookie Face
Supplies: round cookies (Oreos work great), chairs.
How to play: Player tilts their head back, places a cookie on their forehead, then — using only facial muscles, no hands — works it down into their mouth. If it falls, grab another and restart.
Win condition: get the cookie into your mouth within 60 seconds. Bonus chaos: do it with a pumpkin-shaped cookie.
Challenge 5: Pumpkin Ring Toss
Supplies: 5–6 mini pumpkins with stems, pipe cleaners twisted into rings (or glow bracelets).
How to play: Line up the pumpkins a few feet away. Toss rings onto the pumpkin stems.
Win condition: most ringers in 60 seconds. Move the line back for adults who make it look easy.
Challenge 6: Witch Pitch
Supplies: a witch hat (or a bucket decorated like a cauldron), candy corn or wrapped candies.
How to play: Set the hat/bucket on the floor. Players stand behind a line and toss candy corn in.
Win condition: most pieces in the hat at 60 seconds. Underhand tosses only — keeps it fair and keeps candy out of the light fixtures.

Challenge 7: Eyeball Spoon Relay
Supplies: ping-pong balls with eyeballs drawn on (or plastic eyeball toys), spoons.
How to play: Carry the “eyeball” on a spoon from one end of the room to a bowl and back. Drop it? Pick it up and keep going — the clock doesn’t stop.
Win condition: most completed trips in 60 seconds. Teams can run it as a relay for bigger groups.
Challenge 8: Ghost Balloon Pop
Supplies: white balloons with ghost faces drawn on, chairs.
How to play: Scatter the ghost balloons on the floor. Players pop them by sitting on them — no hands, no stomping.
Win condition: most popped ghosts in 60 seconds. Warn the neighbors first; this one is loud.
Challenge 9: Marshmallow Ghost Stack
Supplies: large marshmallows, a plate.
How to play: Draw little ghost faces on marshmallows with a food-safe marker (or skip the faces — they’re still ghosts in spirit). Stack them into a tower.
Win condition: tallest freestanding tower at 60 seconds. Licking them to make them stick is legal and encouraged.
Challenge 10: Donut Dangle
Supplies: ring donuts, string, something to hang them from (a doorway bar, a broom across two chairs).
How to play: Hang donuts at mouth height. Hands behind backs — players eat their donut without touching it.
Win condition: first to finish their donut, or most eaten at 60 seconds. Powdered donuts make the funniest photos.
Challenge 11: Pumpkin Pong
Supplies: plastic pumpkin buckets (the trick-or-treat kind), ping-pong balls.
How to play: Line up 3 buckets at increasing distances. Bounce ping-pong balls off the table into the buckets — near bucket 1 point, middle 2, far 3.
Win condition: highest score in 60 seconds.
Challenge 12: Spider Web Toss
Supplies: a laundry basket, white yarn or streamers to make a “web” across the top, small beanbags or balled-up socks.
How to play: Crisscross yarn over the basket opening to make a web with gaps. Players toss beanbags through the gaps into the basket.
Win condition: most beanbags in the basket at 60 seconds.
Hosting Tips That Save the Night
- Set up stations in advance. Lay out each challenge’s supplies on its own table or tray so transitions take seconds, not minutes.
- Have a practice round. Let everyone try one easy challenge (Cookie Face) before scoring starts — it loosens people up.
- Keep a visible timer. A phone timer held up, or a kitchen timer everyone can hear. Countdowns build the drama.
- Prizes for categories, not just the winner. Funniest attempt, most dramatic fail, best sport — it keeps the non-competitive guests playing.
- Photograph everything. Donut Dangle and Cookie Face produce the best party photos you’ll get all year.
